研讨摘要:In the Big Bang, energy and space-time erupted into existence. Billions of years later, some of that energy learned to think. Intelligence did not evolve to solve puzzles; it evolved because energy is scarce and survival demands wise spending. Intelligence is goal-directed optimization under energy and value constraints. From molecular signaling to predictive brains and conscious desire, life turns energy into information and information into action—and those that do this well endure. Consciousness adds stakes: pleasure and pain attach value to outcomes and guide which risks are worth their cost. As societies grew, governance emerged to coordinate information and align incentives for collective survival and shared flourishing. The first recursive leap came when civilizations began reflecting on their own values, embedding moral reasoning into culture and law. Today, artificial intelligence marks a second recursive threshold. AI accelerates optimization within the objectives we encode, minimizing algorithmic loss without feeling loss—machines compute error, organisms experience stakes. As optimization becomes abundant, wisdom becomes scarce: the capacity to choose and revise the goals and constraints that shape our shared future. AI amplifies power, but governance—and ultimately wisdom—must define purpose and anchor responsibility.
主讲/研讨引导人简介:
周恕弘(Chew Soo Hong)教授是国际知名经济学家,在决策理论、风险与不确定性条件下的选择理论、非期望效用公理化模型、行为经济学与实验经济学等领域作出了奠基性贡献。其早期研究发表于 Econometrica,此后持续在相关领域发表具有重要影响力的学术成果,奠定了其在风险决策与不确定性选择研究中的国际学术地位。
周教授现任西南财经大学智慧经济科学研究中心主任、首席教授,同时为计量经济学会院士(Fellow of the Econometric Society)和经济学理论促进学会院士(Fellow of the Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory, SAET)。他曾获 Leonard J. Savage Award、Decision Sciences Institute 最佳研究论文奖,并于2022年获四川省政府“天府友谊奖”,以表彰其在国际交流合作中的突出贡献。
周教授长期致力于理论经济学、行为与实验经济学前沿研究,曾任教于美国亚利桑那大学、约翰斯·霍普金斯大学、加州大学欧文分校、香港科技大学等高校,并在多个国际知名期刊发表论文,如国际顶尖的top five 中的Econometrica(4篇),Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies, 以及国际顶尖的Journal of European Economic Association, International Economic Review(2篇), Journal of Economic Theory(13篇), Management Science等发表诸多论文;他同时也在有关生物学的重要学刊发表了许多论文, 如Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), Neuron, Proceedings of the Royal Society Series B Behavioral and Brain Sciences以及Neuroimage等。
近年来,他进一步将研究拓展至智慧经济学、神经经济学以及经济行为的遗传与生物基础等交叉领域,依托大规模行为实验室和跨学科实验研究,不断推动经济学与认知科学、生命科学的融合发展。
