报告内容简介: Creating an enabling environment for agriculture is a prerequisite to unleash the sector’s potential to boost growth, reduce poverty and inequality, provide food security and deliver environmental services. The World Bank Enabling the Business of Agriculture (EBA) measures and monitors key elements of countries’ regulatory framework that impact the enabling environment for agribusiness. By providing indicators that can be used to compare the regulatory environment of different countries, it can inform policy dialogue and reform that aims to promote private sector engagement in the agricultural sector. Its recent report, Enabling the Business of Agriculture 2017, covers 62 countries around the world and addresses issues that surround key production inputs and market enablers that facilitate farmers and firms to sell their goods and services. EBA’s methodological approach and some of its findings will be presented, along with a description of the use of this evidence to support policy change. 报告人简历: Farbod Youssefi manages the World Bank’s Enabling the Business of Agriculture initiative, used to benchmark key aspects of countries’ regulatory framework for agribusiness.
